چکیده
The purpose of primary research was to gather information on whether overload placed upon lower extremity muscles during aerobic dance-only classes induce negative adaptations muscular strength, endurance and, anaerobic capacity due the inadequate strength and conditioning programs. second rationale determine pre-season screenings injured dancers showed drastic changes in isokinetic mean work, power, moments before injury occurrence identify predisposing factors compared healthy counterparts. Ten 11 adolescent female ballet who experienced anterior cruciate ligament performance participated this study. Anthropometric, muscle scores were recorded using preliminary testing sessions. Significant correlations occurred between fatigue parameters extensor decline knee extension work (KE MWD), power MPD) moment MMD) (r=.831, p˂.001; r=.961, r=.969, p˂.001). Fatigue index flexor also positively correlated with (KF at 1-5 last 5 reps (r=.818, r=.837, r=.931, p˂.001), respectively. To sum, segmental musculoskeletal examinations revealed that performing dance only are prone suffer injuries characteristics ankle, knee, hip predispose a decreased following an injury.

Disordered eating and injuries among adolescent ballet dancers.
BACKGROUND Ballet dancers are at elevated risk for eating disorders, but the extent to which disordered eating attitudes and behaviors represent a relatively benign adaptation to an environment that values extreme thinness, or a functionally impairing form of psychopathology, has sparked considerable debate. METHOD To determine whether disordered eating is associated with role impairment in d...
متن کاملMulti-segmental postural coordination in professional ballet dancers.
Ballet dancers have heightened balance skills, but previous studies that compared dancers to non-dancers have not quantified patterns of multi-joint postural coordination. This study utilized a visual tracking task that required professional ballet dancers and untrained control participants to sway with the fore-aft motion of a target while standing on one leg, at target frequencies of 0.2 and ...
